Contains nuts, Good for parties/potlucks
8 ounces cream cheese
1 cup butter
2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Combine cream cheese and butter, add flour and mix well.
Divide dough into quarters, divide each quarter into 12 balls.
Press ball on bottom and sides of miniature muffin pans.
Combine eggs, brown sugar and vanilla. Stir in nuts.
Spoon into pastry shells filling each cup 3/4 of the way.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Cool 5 minutes before removing from pan.
Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar.
PASTRY FILLING 8 ounces cream cheese 1 1/2 cups brown sugar 1 cup butter 2 eggs, beaten 2 cups self-raising flour 2 teaspoons vanilla essence 2 teaspoons of cooking salt 1 cup chopped walnuts Sprinkle with castor sugar after removing Nut Cups from muffin tray Coffee liquor can be substituted for vanilla essence, This is a great Christmas treat for the big kids.
