Ingredients
2 cups sugar
3/4 cups corn syrup
1 cup water
1/2 bottle candy flavoring
food coloring (optional)
Directions
Add sugar, corn syrup and water to sauce pan.
Stir well only once. Boil until thermometer reaches 310 degrees.
Remove from heat. Add flavoring and coloring.
At this point the liquid should be transferred to a greased 9x12 pan. (A pizza pan will also work.)
Let harden slightly. Begin to cut with scissors into strips.
Then strips are broken when cooled.
If candy hardens too fast to be cut, break the entire slab in pieces.
After broken, coat with powdered sugar.
