1 1/2 quarts Contains nuts, Gluten‑free, Good for parties/potlucks, Kid friendly, Travels well |
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/2 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons pure vanilla
1 1/2 quarts nut meats, pecans, walnuts or combine
Directions
In a heavy sauce pan mix sugar and sour cream together and cook over a medium heat stirring continually. When mixture reaches soft ball stage (238 degrees on candy thermometer) remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Immediately add nuts and stir till they are well coated and spread on wax paper to cool.
When cool, break apart and store in air tight container.
The glazed nuts remind me of pralines only the coating is delicate and thin. These look grand in a glass container with a ribbon. They make nice gifts.
EASY, FAST, ELEGANT AND DELICIOUS
