Ingredients
1 cup butter (Do not substitute)
1 cup sugar
1 square semi-sweet chocolate
Directions
Combine butter and sugar and cook over high heat stirring constantly until 290 degrees F.
Pour onto cookie sheet lined with waxed paper.
Cool.
Melt semi-sweet chocolate and spread over cooled toffee.
Break into bit size pieces.

Never made toffee before & now I can't stop!! I added crushed pecans just before pouring out mixture on 1 batch & on the next batch I crushed Werther's Coffee candies & added it to the mixture! Both are sooo good! I highly recommend using Gihardeli Baking Chips in milk chocolate for the top.

Can't believe this has not had any reviews yet. I have used this recipe for the past 3 years. It is so easy and tastes wonderful. It is also great anytime of the year. Definately a 5 star
