3 (6 ounce) packages semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 can (14 ounce) sweetened condensed milk
dash salt
1/2 to 1 cup chopped nuts
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract


  1. In heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt chips with sweetened condensed milk and salt.

  2. Remove from heat, stir in nuts and vanilla.

  3. Spread evenly into 8 or 9 inch square pan lined with wax paper.

  4. Chill 2 hours or until firm.

  5. Turn fudge onto cutting board, peel off wax paper and cut into squares.

  6. Store loosely covered at room temperature.
