1/2 cup margarine
1 small package cream cheese
1 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tablespoon of soft butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
dash of salt
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Mix first three ingredients together to make pastry.
Divide into 2 dozen one inch balls and put into ungreased muffin pans.
Flatten pastry with hands to make lining easier.
To make filling: mix together remaining ingredients.
Pour filling into unbaked shells.
Bake for 25 minutes or until filling is set.
These tarts have become a staple in my house at Christmas. They are sooo good! These baby pecan pies are great for Thanksgiving too.
