Ingredients

2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 can crushed pineapple (juice and all)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 can evaporated milk
1/4 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Grease a 13x9 inch cake pan.

  3. Mix together flour, sugar, eggs, pineapple, salt, and soda.

  4. Pour into prepared pan.

  5. Sprinkle with brown sugar and chopped nuts.

  6. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes.

  7. Heat milk, butter, and vanilla until butter is fully melted. Pour over hot cake.

  8. Glaze will not fully soak into cake.

My husband loves it! It reminds me of a Tres Leches Cake or custard. After it came out of the oven, I poked holes all over the top so the glaze would soak into the cake. It's so yummy!!
