Ingredients
4 ounces margarine
4 ounces caster sugar
4 ounces self-rising flour
2 eggs
Topping:
4 ounces icing sugar
pink food coloring
4 ounces M&Ms
2 red liquorice bootlaces
12 Dolly Mixtures
3 ounces plain chocolate
2 ounces butter
Directions
Set oven to 180c.
Place 12 paper cases in a bun tray.
Put all cake ingredients into a bowl and beat until smooth.
Divide mixture among the cake cases and cook for 12-15 minutes until well risen and the cakes spring back when pressed with a fingertip. Leave to cool.
Meanwhile make the topping by mixing the butter and the icing sugar together until smooth, add food coloring. Spread over the cakes. Add M&Ms for the eyes, short pieces of licorice for the mouths and a dolly mixture for the nose.
Break the chocolate into pieces melt in a bowl over a saucepan of gently simmering water and then spoon into a greaseproof paper piping bag. Snip off the tip and pipe hair, eyeballs glasses and moustaches onto the cakes. Carefully arrange in a single layer on a serving plate and allow icing to set before serving.
