Over the Top Christmas Chocolate Trifle

Really rich - but a great alternative for those who don't like Christmas pudding. I've made it every year for the past 20 years, and my 'children' are now in their late twenties.

Ingredients
1 tin mandarin oranges
1 really rich sticky chocolate cake
1 bottle chocolate sauce
1 packet chocolate custard mix
1 packet Angel Delight or similar
1 tub double cream
2 'Flakes'
Directions
Put tin of drained mandarin oranges into a trifle dish.
Slightly warm chocolate sauce topping in a saucepan and pour over the oranges.
Cut up cake into slices and put over mandarins while sauce is still warm.
Make chocolate custard allow to cool slightly and pour over cake.
Leave until cold.
Mix chocolate Angel Delight (or similar) and put over custard.
Allow to chill in refrigerator.
Whip double cream until stiff and put over Angel Delight.
Break up at least two chocolate flakes over the top.
At any point you can add in a layer of cream, or another layer of chocolate sauce, or chocolate drops.
