Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup raisins
1 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup melted butter
1 1/2 cups applesauce
2 teaspoons soda
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease and flour a 9x9 cake pan.
Combine together flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg.
Add raisins, chopped walnuts and melted butter.
In a separate bowl combine applesauce and soda.
Add to dry ingredients and beat until well blended.
Pour into prepared pan.
Bake for 40 to 50 minutes.
Serve with whipped cream.
