Ingredients

1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups quick cooking oats
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup butter or margarine


Raisin Filling:
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 cups raisins
1 cup water

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Stir together flour, oats, brown sugar and soda.

  3. Cut in butter till mixture is crumbly.

  4. Pat 2/3 of the crumbs in the bottom of a ungreased 13x9 baking pan.

  5. In a sauce pan, combine sugar and cornstarch.

  6. Stir in raisins and water, cook and stir until bubbly.

  7. Spread over crust.

  8. Sprinkle with remaining crumbs.

  9. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.

  10. Cool on a wire rack.

  11. Cut into bars.
