Ingredients
1/2 cup sugar
2 Tablespoons flour
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 /4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
1/2 cup maple syrup
1 tablespoon butter
1 1/2 cups cranberries
3 cups sliced peeled McIntosh apples
Pastry for 2 crust 9 inch pie
Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Combine first 7 ingredients in saucepan.
Cook 2 minutes, stirring until sugar dissolves.
Add cranberries.
Boil 2 minutes.
Fold in apple slices and cool.
Pour into pastry-lined 9 inch pan.
Make lattice strips of pastry dough over filling.
Trim edges.
Bake for 40-45 minutes.
