Ingredients
baked 8 inch pie shell
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
2 eggs (separated)
1 cup dairy sour cream
1 cup seedless raisins
1 to 1 1/4 teaspoons lemon juice
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large sauce pan, combine sugar, cornstarch, salt and spices. Blend in egg yolks.
Add sour cream, raisins and lemon juice.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens.
Cool, then stir in walnuts, pour into pie shell.
Beat egg whites until stiff, spread on top of pie, making sure to cover all the way to the crust.
Bake in 350 degree oven for about 15 minutes or until meringue is browned.
