Ingredients

1 tablespoon butter, softened (don't use margarine)
1 tablespoon light corn syrup
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon mint extract
1 cup powdered sugar
food coloring (optional)
candy sprinkles (optional)

Directions

  1. In a bowl mix together with a fork the butter, corn syrup, salt, and mint extract.

  2. Gradually add powdered sugar. When dough becomes too stiff to stir, knead with hands.

  3. Put dough on wax paper.

  4. Form pieces of dough into shapes.

  5. To color dough take some of it and knead 1-2 drops of food coloring into it.

  6. If you like, you can decorate with candy sprinkles.


Coloring Chart:

  1. Pink: small drop of red

  2. Orange: 1 drop red, 1 drop yellow

  3. Purple: 2 drops blue, 1 drop red

  4. Blue-green: 1 drop blue, 2 drops green or 2 drops blue, 1 drop green
