When you’re getting ready for a holiday soirée, it’s fun to add a dash of festive flair to your outfit. You could do this with jewelry or tights, but one of my favourite ways to jazz up a Christmas outfit is with a unique hair accessory. Whether you wear it to your company Christmas party or Christmas dinner, any of the headbands below will give your outfit that extra bit of merry.
-
This top hat fascinator is perfect for when you’re feelin’ festive and fancy.
-
The spray of red feathers on this swanky celebration feather fascinator cocktail hat will instantly upgrade any outfit. [Bonus idea: You could also wear this on a date on Valentine’s Day!]
-
Add some subtle holiday cheer to a more casual outfit with these knotted headbands.
-
Just for giggles, you could don this mistletoe headband. Maybe your sweetie will even give you a smooch 😉
-
If you’re an elf-wannabe, sport this elf hat headband along with some red and green striped tights.
-
An adorable statement piece, this oversized bow would look great with a little black dress and some sparkly jewelry.
-
Not only is this sequin green & red Christmas bow headband cute, but it also lights up!
Psst… All of these hair accessories are available for two-day shipping [some even with Amazon Prime], so you can still get them before this weekend!
Over the next couple of weekends, some Anthropologie stores across the USA and Canada are hosting holiday craft events for children. Recommended for ages 5–8, kids will be able to create some fun crafts while mom and dad sneak in a little shopping. You can visit Anthropologie’s website to see if your local store is hosting this event, and if you plan to attend, make sure to call the store to RSVP.
If you’re on the hunt for some special holiday gifts, hit up an indie craft fair this weekend or next weekend. At these markets you can find all kinds of goodies from jewelry to stationery to ceramics—all handmade and many times local. By shopping at one of these fairs, not only will you be able to find truly unique Christmas presents for your loved ones, you will also be supporting local small businesses, so it’s a win-win. Always fun, indie craft fairs are basically Etsy in event form, complete with DJs and food trucks.
Below I’ve highlighted a few of these merry markets, but if you have a favourite local indie craft fair in your area, let me know in the comments!
A two-day event, the 4th annual Holiday Strawberry Swing is going on this weekend over First Friday. This event’s 30+ vendors sell a myriad of products, such as jewelry, quilts, wood work, mobiles, photography, painting, zines, and much more.
