Ingredients
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup margarine or shortening
2 eggs
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda dissolved in 1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1/4 pound coconut
3 cups cornflakes
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease cookie sheets.
Cream sugar and shortening, add eggs, then the remaining ingredients; blend well.
Drop on cookie sheet.
Bake for 8-10 minutes.
