Ingredients
3 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1/3 cup cocoa
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3/4 cup oil
2 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups water
Fluffy Frosting
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup water
1/4 tsp. cream of Tarter
dash of salt
2 egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
Directions
In an ungreased 9"x13" baking pan mix: flour, sugar, cocoa, soda, and salt.
Make 3 holes in above mixture and add to each hole separately the oil, vinegar, and vanilla.
Pour the water over the top of above and blend well with fork.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 35-40 minutes.
Bring to a boil the sugar, water, cream of Tarter, and salt.
Beat the egg whites a few seconds with electric mixer then very slowly add the boiled mixture and beat 5 minutes then add vanilla and beat another 2 minutes. May add food coloring if desired. May also sprinkle with coconut if you like.
